The film is produced by Salman Khan and Kabir Khan. Set in the 1962 Sino-Indian War,[7] it stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu and Om Puri.[8] Shah Rukh Khan appears in a cameo in the film.[9] Julius Packiam and Pritam scored the music of the film, with the former composing the film score and latter composing the songs.[10] It is an adaptation of the 2015 American film Little Boy.[1] The film released on 23 June 2017.[4] This marks the last film appearance of Om Puri who died on January 6, 2017, shortly after completing the film
